In the late 21st century, a subculture of humans have emerged who have been modified genetically by a vampire-like disease, giving them enhanced speed, incredible stamina and acute intelligence. As they are set apart from 'normal' and 'healthy' humans, the world is pushed to the brink of worldwide civil war aimed at the destruction of the 'diseased' population. In the middle of this crossed-fire is - an infected woman - Ultraviolet, who finds herself protecting a nine-year-old boy who has been marked for death by the human government as he is believed to be a threat to humans.

In 2078, in the wake of a global pandemic of vampirism, a sub-species of disease-modified humans find themselves possessing extraordinary agility, enhanced strength, incredible stamina, and acute intelligence. As a result, humankind is now pushed to the brink of a brutal, worldwide civil war. Now, against the backdrop of the imminent confrontation between the government and the 'others', Ultraviolet, an infected beautiful Haemophage, finds herself caught in the middle, protecting Six, a helpless nine-year-old boy who has been marked for death by the military forces of Daxus. Can Ultraviolet destroy Daxus' ultimate anti-Haemophage weapon?

Violet is part of an underground group who have enhanced physical powers due
to exposure to a virus developed to build super soldiers. The group's leader
sends Violet on a mission to find Six, a child with special attributes.
