Synopsis:
No German review yet:
Frankenstein (2004)
Another adaption of Mary Shelley's novel about a scientist who brings life to a creature fashioned from corpses and various body parts.
The Hound of the Baskervilles (2002)
In this chilling BBC adaption of Conan Doyle's classic Sherlock Holmes novel, the wealthy Baskerville family is tormented by a ravenous beast which appears to lurk on the moors. Sherlock Holmes (Richard Roxburgh) and Dr. Watson (Ian Hart) are called in to unravel a mysterious curse that has plagued the Baskerville family for generations in this thrilling BBC production of one of the brilliant detective's most famous cases. When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead, his heir, Sir Henry (Matt Day), begs Holmes to save him from the terrifying supernatural hound that has brought fear and death to his household.
Dracula (2006)
Lord Holmwood (Dan Stevens) is due to marry his sweetheart, Lucy (Sophia Myles), but hides a terrible secret - he has syphilis, so cannot consummate the marriage without infecting his bride. His determination to find a cure leads him to a legendary being with extraordinary powers - Count Dracula (Marc Warren). It's not long before he realises what a terrible evil he's unleashed, and has to call on the vampire scholar, Abraham Van Helsing (David Suchet) to help him rid the world of his nemesis.
