The story delicately weaves several narrative strands, including a tense and intricate legal battle. The Generals fate hung in the balance for over a year as the decision over whether to extradite him was taken. Would he face trial for the atrocities that took place under his regime, or would his legal team successfully appeal that such proceedings were beyond the jurisdiction of any international court?
