Synopsis:

The setting is the Awserd refugee camp in Tindouf, Algeria, with 180 thousand people living there. Fatma has not seen her brother, whom she was separated from during the Morocco invasion in the Western Sahara, for 30 years. He is to come to the camp for a few days in a UN flight. Fatma and her relatives ready themselves to welcome him and meanwhile explain what life is like in one of the worst regions of the Algerian desert. Concomitantly, human rights activists in the Sahara are subject to persecution from the Morocco authorities. Protagonists and experts on the subject expound on their theories to try and reach a fair solution to a conflict prolonged for far too long. Special mention of the Jury at the Sahara International Film Festival in 2007.
