"La Maison" is a centre in the South of France that specializes in end-of-life care. Established 20 years ago in the town of Gardanne, it has been made possible by the work of many volunteers, care assistants, cooks, nurses, doctors and psychologists who have joined together. Drawing on their imagination and empathy, these people have created a unique, comprehensive, and respectful form of care. This film tells their story, the years of struggle, joys, sorrows, and their satisfaction to see their successors taking on the challenges to come.
