Synopsis:

HEADRUSH is a crazy caper comedy about two young stoners Charlie and T-Bag, orbiting society in a haze of dope and dreams. But when Charlie gets dumped by his girlfriend Vicky and kicked off the dole, he crashes to earth desperate to get her back. T-Bag hears on the grape vine that a notorious underworld criminal, The Uncle, is looking for new mules, so Charlie conceives and elaborate scam to smuggle a consignment of cocaine back from Amsterdam. When The Uncle hires them, it sends them on a surreal adventure into a world they knew nothing about, but must survive. As their scam unfolds, a series of comic coincidences begin to unravel their carefully laid plans resulting in both the gangsters and the cops hot on their trail. The proverbial Fish out of Water, Charlie and T-Bag find themselves sinking deeper and deeper into trouble.

Headrush is a crime comedy about two disillusioned youths, struggling through a haze of cannabis, who hope to solve all their problems by smuggling a consignement of drugs for a local gangster. It's set in the present day in Dublin, Ireland against the backdrop of the end of the Celtic Tiger: the bursting of the bubble of this economy boom that's supposed to have done wonders for us all.
