Synopsis:
Abel (Alex Brendemuhl) lives with his mother in a small town just outside of Barcelona. His mundane life centers around the same few locations day after day--the dress shop where he works with his mother, his home, his girlfriend's apartment, and a few restaurants. As the repetition of his seemingly small, insignificant life wears him down psychologically, he is driven to murder. Deliberately paced, but effective in it's portrayal of the stifling boredom of its antihero's existence, Jaime Rosales's debut is a unique entry in the serial killer genre.

The story centers around Abel, an ordinary guy who works in a clothes shop. On the surface he leads a fairly normal (if a little dismal) life. He lives with his mother but is looking for a place of his own. He has a steady relationship with a beautiful girlfriend, and manages his business amiably. But underneath this calm facade lurks a vicious streak which waits to make itself known.

Abel lives with his mother in a small town at Barcelona outskirts. He life, grey and boring, is based on the small familiar business, his mother house, his girlfriends' bed, the town bars... Always the same problems, faces and conversations. However under an appearance of quiet and gentle man, Abel hides a dark and morbid personality.
