Synopsis:
Max, a young boy on his summer holidays, finds himself drawn to the spell-binding guitar playing of Miraldo, a virtuoso of the guitar. This music becomes his passion and his connection to the neighbourhood of the local gypsy population and their music - Manouche Jazz. Max buys an old guitar, and through the guidance of his new teacher, Miraldo, gets an apprenticeship of the music and culture, and simultaneously finds himself drawn to Swing, a foul-mouthed unwashed unprincipled gypsy girl.

Max is on holiday at his grandmother's place in the Elzas in France. He's fascinated by the guitar play of gipsy Miraldo. For writing letters to the social security institutes he gets guitar lessons from Miraldo. He becomes friends with Swing, a boyish gipsy girl, who shows him the nature and takes him to exuberant music evenings.
