Synopsis:

In a really hot summer, Sister Consuelo, the superior of a religious order dedicated to charitable medicine, decides to carry out a project to transform the rambling and almost useless hospital in town into a modern asylum for the old with the most up to date infrastructure. To finance the project, the determined nun decides to visit a rich landowner who lives in the close to the town, Augusto Aixelá, a gentleman farmer famed for being a womaniser. Their continuous encounters bring about a closeness that produces a passionate and stormy attraction whose memory will last until the end of their days. In the final destiny of this relationship, an unhappy confrontation with the bandits and the discovery of certain deceits and vengeances bring about an overturn in the life of Sister Consuelo..
