Synopsis:

Constant is a 14 year old boy who helps out at the pub of his
grandmother, he tries to make the best of life even though his mother has
recently been admitted to an asylum. When he falls in love with the new
help in the pub, he discovers that he has a gift of poetry. His grandmother
is not to happy about all that and forbids him to write in the fear of him
ending up as his mother. When the new help decides to move to Australia and
his mother commits suicide, he writes one final poëm which he admits to a
contest....
