Synopsis:

The film tells the story of Freek Groenevelt and Simone Marijnissen whose lives are taken over by Joachim Stiller. He's a bizarre character who influences Freek and Simone's lives in different ways. After meeting with a psychiatrist, Freek realizes something very important. And through this realization, Freek's trauma disappears and looks forward to meeting Stiller. But just before they meet Stiller is hit by a car and dies without the mystery being solved.

A certain Joachim Stiller, whose mortal appearance is never revealed, is an integral part of life and thought of another three people initially unknown to each other. All three live in Antwerp: a writer, a teacher and an alderman. Stiller embodies the image of the savior, according to Jung, an archetype that is present in the collective unconscious.
