Synopsis:
Twenty year old Carol Dunn seems set to win a surprising medal for New Zealand in the Olympic Games. Back home, along with the rest of the nation, her family is caught up in the euphoria and nervously awaits the arrival of television director Brian Stanning and Paul, his young cameraman, who will film them watching Carol's finest hour. But Chrissy, Carol's identical drop-out twin refuses to take part in the broadcast until the small matter of her parentage, bought into question by her father on his deathbed, is cleared up. She is confronted by Paul's unwelcome presence, her one night stand with him is the last thing she wants to revisit. No one is prepared for the riot of recrimination and revelation that erupts during the build-up to the fateful broadcast. Thirty-five year old Jen whose biological clock is ticking fast, is hot on the first horrifying trail; just who is the father of the baby that middle sister Lyn is on the verge of having? and why is Ken, her mild but errant electrician husband, acting so strangely?

Danielle Cormack plays a dual role of twin sisters in this comedy drama from New Zealand. Chrissy Dunn (Cormack) exits the bed of a strange man while her twin sister, Olympic swimmer Carol (also Cormack), wins an major race and prepares to swim for the gold. Back home, TV director Brian Stanning (Brian Sergent) spearheads a local TV station's plan for a satellite hook-up to reunite the entire dysfunctional Dunn family (including the widowed mother and two other sisters). Chrissy states her intention not to cooperate and finds that TV cameraman Paul (Karl Urban) is the stranger she slept with that night. Director Andrew McCarten made his directorial debut with this film, shown at the 1998 Melbourne Film Festival.

As a family gather to watch one of their own swimming in the Olympics, minutes of fame become a hilarious and painful 24 hours when they uncover the secrets of a lifetime.
