Synopsis:

Just out of high school, Minna lives in a small northern town, working tedious jobs and waiting for a sign that will tell her something, anything. Her mother died a couple a years before, and her father and his new wife seem eager for her to move out and on, but can she really make it on her own?

A Swedish small town is so provincial that a trip to Stockholm becomes an exciting adventure. Minna is 19 years old and did not get over her mother's death five years ago. The pain is not that strong anymore, but she still feels this universal uncertainty. Minna hangs out with her best friend Simone. Small part-time jobs offer some distraction. And love. Minna is getting her driver's licence and falls in love with her driving teacher. For her it is 'butterflies in the stomach' and a step on the path to an adult's life. For him it is just a sexual adventure. Secret dates and the search for love and happiness. Is this so hard to find in a small town universe?
