Synopsis:

Young Xiping and his friends Lu Liu and Erbao live in a dull rural town with nothing to do and little prospects for the future. They hang about together, bored, frustrated and listless and with no moral direction. Xiping is having an affair with the wife of a neighbour, and also rapes a girl. After he and his friends attack and beat up a schoolboy in his classroom, they are forced to flee, taking Liu Liu's father's car.
