Synopsis:

Russia more than a country is a continent. In the early 18th century its borders stretched from the very hub of Central Europe through the Berlin Gates till the Strait of Bering in front of Alaska.
They are the result of a policy of continuous expanding lasted for centuries and to which even the communist regime did not renounce.
Russia has always been in the hands of a monarchy, which made its 140 million subjects living as in a feudal society. It is in this land that the revolutionary spark was ignited, the same spark, which after 17 years turned it into the first Communist country in the world. A long and tormented history began, dominated by charismatic figures like Lenin and Stalin, a period full of high expectations for a better world, as well as bitter disappointments, pains, suffers, ruthless acts and massacres.
A charming story that goes from the very sad and faded images of the last Romanov through the rise to power of the Bolsheviks - the Revolutionaries of the early hours - the civil war, the peasants insurrections as reaction to their state of serfdom, huge development plans, deportations and the 1939's purges.
Then it comes the moment of the dreadful campaign against Hitler which the Russian will win thank to their heroism, to their sacrifices and to their incredible capacity to develop in a short period of time a mighty war maschine.
In the year 1945 the new Russian empire dominates half Europe and part of Asia. The influence of its military and political power echoed throughout half of the world. The cold war began and the policy of the counter blocks started. It will last for almost 40 years after the death of the very last of all Czars, Joseph Stalin.
