Synopsis:

Lucy Lawless stars in this tense action thriller about a deadly breed of bio-engineered locusts that create a new and unimaginable threat to the United States. Capable of forming multiple swarms over thousands of miles, these large locusts will devour everything in their path. When government scientist Dr. Maddy Rierdon (Lucy Lawless) is asked to investigate a outbreak, she discovers her colleague Dr. Peter Axelrod (John Heard) is working on an unapproved locust experiment. Some of the deadly locusts escape and head towards a local town sending the nation into a panic. As the country faces a modern-day plague, the race is on to stop the devastatingly destructive swarms before they kill millions.
