Synopsis:
'The Age of Iron' is based on the great Finnish epic, the Kalevala. It is an interpretation of the Kalevala by some of the best Finnish artists of the 1980s, an attempt to carry onwards the message of the ancient rune singers. The third part of the film is the story of Lemminki. He steals a foreign woman for himself from a fair, but has a hard time staying in one place. He kills the master of Pohjola, then is himself killed while returning home. His mother retrieves his body from the river of Death and his wife's love reawakens him to life. He flees to an island of women, who he id happy to entertain. In the meantime the men of Pohjola destroy his home. When he returns, he revenges himself by setting fire to Pohjola.
