Synopsis:

When nineteen-year-old Per is brutally beaten on a council estate on the outskirts of Copenhagen, his mother feels guilty for having insisted that they should continue living within the immigrant community instead of moving like the other Danish families. Per's young sister turns to her Palestinian boyfriend, Shadi, for comfort. But Shadi is worried about his older brother - who he believes may be implicated in the assault.

A council estate on the outskirts of Copenhagen. One Friday evening, a young man, Per, is brutally beaten and falls into a coma. His mother, Søs, feels that she is to blame for her son's fate. After all, she was the one that insisted they continue to live among the immigrants instead of leaving long ago like most other Danish people. Per ends up in intensive care, fighting for his life. Mie, Per's sister, seeks comfort from her boyfriend, Shadi, the son of Palestinian immigrants. Shadi remembers that night seeing his older brother cleaning his bloodstained clothes in the bathroom, but Shadi keeps his mouth shut, in spite of his increasing doubts...
