Synopsis:
This critically acclaimed wartime drama is an epic adventure of love, friendship and courage during the Second World War. In a quiet Suffolk village, life is disrupted when the 525th Bomber Group of the United States Eight Air Force arrives with its Flying Fortress bombers, its two thousand officers, its energy and confidence. Despite cultural differences between the brash Americans and the reserved but resilient villagers of Market Wetherby they pull together to face the common enemy. A story of romance, hardship, fear and sacrifice... Set during the later years of World War II, We'll Meet Again tells the story of the relationships that develop between a group young women and the squadron of rowdy, gum-popping, oversexed American fighter pilots stationed in their small English village. Tender, nostalgic, and beautifully filmed, this mini-series explores the dynamics of life and love in the face of incomprehensible destruction.

Television drama set in a Suffolk town during the Second World War. Two thousand brash young USAF officers arrive in this rural corner of England...
