Synopsis:

Aicha, a high-school student, is a passionate kung fu fighter. Her Turkish parents expect her to get good grades so she can get into medical school, like her brother Ali. But school doesn't inspire her. Defying her family, Aicha starts secretly training at a professional, co-ed kung fu club. A boy, Emil, helps Aicha train for the club championship and they fall in love. But the rules of life are not as simple as the rules of kung fu, and Aicha is forced to decide who she is and what she wants.

Fantasy. Aicha follows her desire to be a professional kung fu fighter against her parents wishes. Romance ensues when fellow student Emil helps her train, but Aicha needs to recognise her obligations when her pursuits jeopardise her brother's wedding.

The headstrong daughter of conservative Turkish immigrants in Copenhagen tries to meet her uneducated parents high expectations while remaining true to her private passion: the kung fu. Between familial duties and devotion to her sport, high-school student Aicha has little time for schoolwork, and certainly none for a boyfriend. Although her traditional father forbids it, Aicha joins an elite kung fu club run by a strict Chinese sifu who secretly admires her spunk. After advanced student Emil is ordered to practise with Aicha, the two gradually develop deeper feelings.
