Synopsis:

This ambitious, sharp and hilarious satire of petty bureaucracy and cultural misunderstandings is set in a small Romanian town during the 1999 Kosovo confict. A US-manned NATO train bound for the border unexpectedly reaches the end of the line when a stubborn and pedantic station master applies the brakes over a paperwork technicality. Sensing golden opportunity to profit from the Americans' unexpected presence, the local community go to ridiculous lengths to welcome them, while the stranded troops' hard-bitten and increasingly frustrated captain (Armande Assante) decides to take matters into his own hands

1999. Kosovo War. In a small Romanian village, the chief of the railway station, who also happens to be a local gangster, stops a NATO train transporting military equipment. The two American officers are in charge of the transport only have verbal approval from the Romanian government for their journey. They are without official documents. Their arrival in this small village dramatically changes its landscape.

During the war in Kosovo in 1999, a NATO train transporting military equipment without official documents is stopped in a small Romanian village by the chief of the railway station, who happens to be the local gangster as well. Their arrival changes the place into the village of all opportunities.
