Synopsis:
On the morning of an unwanted marriage, the bride, Annette, runs away to Paris. On the train she is robbed and all her money is stolen - but as fortune would have it, she meets a wealthy passenger, Max, who allows her to stay with him for 24 hours. Detectives then trace and catch up with the reluctant bride and take her home. But hot on their heels is Max, who is determined to have Annette as his bride instead...

Stage and screen star Jessie Matthews brings all her charm, humour and energy to the role of Annette in this delightful Michael Balcon-produced Gainsborough comedy from 1932. There Goes the Bride also stars silent-era matinée idol Owen Nares, Basil Radford (The Lady Vanishes), Roland Culver (Dead of Night) and composer and Savoy Orpheans bandleader Carroll Gibbons.

Story of girl who escapes from her "arranged" wedding and goes to Paris.
