Synopsis:

Lt. Dick Stacey is dismissed from the Fleet Air Arm for poor discipline. He joins the Aircraft Carrier 'HMS Ark Royal' (The Ship with Wings). When they go into battle in the Mediterranean he acts heroically and redeems himself.

The story of a Fleet Air Arm pilot who crashes and kills the father of the girl he loves. He is dismissed, and joins a private airline until war breaks out, when he tries to rejoin the service. Refused, he returns to an Aegean island to find a former love dying and Germans in occupation. After escaping, he warns of a new enemy minefield, volunteers for a dangerous mission and crash-dives, destroying a dam.
