Synopsis:

When a woman's teenage daughter is murdered and the killer is set free, she takes matters into her own hands - and soon finds that law and justice are two different things. Laura Elias (Donna Mills) has a tense relationship with Carly (Ari Meyers), the older of her two daughters. After one of many fights, Carly drives off in Laura's car on an errand for Laura, has car trouble, and is helped by a charming young man, Peter (Adam Storke), who offers to drive her home. The ride quickly turns sinister, and the next morning Carly is found strangled...

Laura Elias's daughter is raped and murdered by Peter Lipton. With the support of Peter's affluential parents he pleads 'guilty due to insanity'. The jury acquits him because of insanity. Laura Elias is not able to bear the injustice done to her daughter. She tries all possible options to obtain justice but is unsuccessful. Finally she decides to take things into her own hands.

Following an temporary insanity acquittal of her daughter's rapist and murderer, a mother goes after the criminal.
