Synopsis:

Welcome to the Fields middle class world, in the London suburb of Barnes. Meet Hester and William fields, a devoted middle class couple who live idyllic suburban lifestyle.

With Hester's new found free time, she is always looking to try new hobbies or find ways to improve her life. Hester throws herself into a succession of self improvement courses, all of which exasperate her hard working husband.

Their house is also home to Hester's mother Nancy, who retires in the couples attached granny flat. We meet Emma, the only heard (on the telephone), but never seen daughter, and Sonia, the ever needy next door neighbour.

As one of the most popular British sitcoms of the eighties, Fresh Fields remains a fresh through the delightful pairing of Julia McKenzie (Cranford) and Anton Rodgers (May to December) this complete series one features the very first six episodes.
