Synopsis:

The big-screen debut from Scottish stage director David Kane, This Year's Love is a comedy about the romantic misadventures of six young people in Camden, North London. The marriage of tattoo artist Danny (Douglas Hanshall) and dressmaker Hannah (Catherine McCormack) gets off to a less-than-inspiring start when Danny finds out Hannah has already been fooling around with a friend's husband, so Danny takes a walk and Hannah splits with a friend to get drunk. At the airport, where the newlyweds were supposed to leave for a honeymoon, Danny meets a cleaning woman named Mary (Kathy Burke) and is immediately infatuated, while Hannah is picked up by a scruffy artist named Cameron (Dougray Scott). Elsewhere, Liam (Ian Hart), a geeky comic-art enthusiast who shares an apartment with Cameron, finds romance with Sophie (Jennifer Ehle), a single mother and full-time neurotic.

This Year's Love' is a bittersweet romantic comedy about love, sex and heartbreak. If follows six twenty-something's looking for romance and that special someone. An apparently perfect relationship between tattoo artist Danny (Douglas Henshall) and Hannah (Catherine McCormack) ends in tears on the wedding day even before the cake is cut.

Back in "singles life", they meet Liam (Ian Hart) a passionate obsessive, Mary (Kathy Burke), a pub singer, Sophie (Jennifer Ehle), rich kid turned rebel and Cameron (Dougray Scott) a good-looking artist and rogue. One by one, their paths tangle and untangle over the course of three years with consequences that are sad, strange and hilarious!

Story of three couples who, by chance, swap partners over the course of three years. Danny and Hannah start out getting married, but minutes later Danny hears that Hannah is being unfaithful, and so leaves her. He meets Mary while Hannah ends up getting picked up in a bar by an artist. Meanwhile, the artist's roommate is meeting single mom Sophie in a cyber cafe.
