Synopsis:

The history of the Argentinean comic book industry and the men who guided it through its most fruitful period are celebrated in this documentary from filmmaker Daniela Fiore. Imaginadores follows the rise of comics in Argentina from the 1940's to the late 60's, when they earned a new level of popularity and both the art and the writing embraced a greater sophistication that led to more mature, complex long-form stories, and eventually spawned the nation's first graphic novels. Fiore interviews some of the leading figures in the world of Argentinean comics, discussing their influences, their style and the creative innovations they brought to the page. The film also charts how comics became an important populist art form in Latin America, as well as how television and later the internet have robbed comics of a large portion of their audience.

Imaginadores is a documentary on Argentine comics. It shows a collection of interviews made with Argentine top cartoonists.
