Synopsis:

In the stark aftermath of a neurological pandemic, two strangers come together on an isolated Scottish farm. April, a 16 year old survivor with a dark past has survived alone for months. Daniel, a man bereaved, clings desperately on to hope of life in the outside world. Questioning his own sanity in the face of the maddened and distant cries of the suffering, he finds that the true enemy is not the virus, but something much closer to home. THE DEAD OUTSIDE is an indie horror and the debut feature from Scottish music video director Kerry Anne Mullaney.

A neurological pandemic has consumed the population. Drug-resistance has mutated the virus into a ravaging psychological plague, rendering the 'the dying' desperate, paranoid and violent. Two survivors come together on an isolated farmhouse in desperate circumstances- April, a young mysterious girl with a dark past has survived alone for months, and Daniel, a man desperate and bereaved, clings desperately onto hope in the outside world. When a mysterious stranger turns up, they are confronted with a new enemy even deadlier than the one beyond the perimeter.

Horror thriller, set in the aftermath of a neurological degenerative virus pandemic. Two strangers, sixteen-year-old April, who has survived for months on her own, and the bereaved Daniel, come together on an isolated Scottish farm. He is haunted by the distant cries of those who have the virus, and clings to the hope that normal life will resume soon.
