Cecile de France stars in the true story of Jeannine Deckers-international '60s pop sensation Soeur Sourire, or The Singing Nun. Jeannines dull parents want her to marry and take over their bakery, but Jeannine-an aspiring musician-is attracted to a woman and longs for adventure. When she decides to enter a convent to find meaning in her life, she is encouraged by her Mother Superior to follow her dreams of becoming a singer.
