Synopsis:
I Know What You Did. A chilling message that draws five seemingly disparate characters into a dark tale of blackmail and desire. A blind recluse with an unusual hobby, a love-struck telekinetic dwarf, an embittered hook-handed clown, a murder-obsessed man-child, and a deranged but caring midwife all receive the same ominous message sending their already bizarre lives into turmoil. All are affected in different ways by the letters and as more chilling messages are received the five are forced to confront their past and the secret that binds them together. From the team behind cult classic The League of Gentlemen, this cliff-hanging comedy thriller weaves a tale of intrigue, mystery and suspense.

The series revolves around five different characters from different parts of England: David Sowerbutts (played by Pemberton), a serial killer-obsessed man-child who still lives with his mother Maureen (Shearsmith); Mr. Jelly (Shearsmith), an embittered one-handed children's entertainer; Oscar Lomax (Pemberton), a blind millionaire who collects stuffed toy animals; Joy Aston (French), a midwife who treats a practice doll as if it is her real child; and Robert Greenspan (Tompkins), a panto dwarf in love with his Snow White who believes he has the power of telekinesis. All five are connected by a mysterious blackmailer who has sent them a letter each with the message: 'I know what you did'. The series is named after the title given to The League of Gentlemen when the series was sold to Japan and Korea.

A group of seemingly unrelated strangers all receive a mysterious note stating 'I know what you did,' it sends their lives into a downward spiral. They include a birthing coach nurse who believes her practice doll is a real baby; an alcoholic, one-handed clown; a young man obsessed with serial killers; a telekinetic dwarf; and a miserly old man with the world's biggest Beanie Baby collection.
