Synopsis:
The Bench (2000)
The Bench tells the story of Kaj, a man whose life paths has led him into deep alcoholism.

The Inheritance (2003)
A young Danish man, Christoffer, lives a life of joy and happiness with his wife Maria in Stockholm. When his father dies his mother insists that Christoffer take over management of the family industry which is in danger of bankruptcy. He is torn between his chosen life and his sense of duty to his family and its past. When he chooses to step in as manager his family life and self-respect languish.

Drabet (2005)
Carsten leads a comfortable, middle class, if mundane, life as a middle-aged secondary school teacher. His affair with a much younger former student and political activist, Pil, provides a link with his youth when he too, was politically radical. When Pil becomes involved in a dramatic incident, Carsten is forced to confront the tensions between ethical ideology and emotional security.

The Bench (2000)
A man is given one last chance to repair a broken relationship with his daughter in this downbeat drama. Kaj (Jesper Christensen) once had both self-respect and a solid career as a chef, but these days he's an alcoholic who spends most of his days drinking with a handful of companions in a suburban park near Copenhagen. Liv (Stine Holm Joensen) is a woman trying to run away from a bad relationship with her abusive husband Lars (Lars Brygmann); she and her son Jonas (Marius Sonne Janischefska) move into an apartment near the park, and Kaj is shocked to discover she is the daughter he abandoned nearly two decades before. Kaj invites Liv to dinner only to realize that she isn't sure who he is - and that she's not at all happy to discover he is her father. When Liv finds herself in dire financial circumstances, she turns to Lars, whose violent temper hasn't mellowed. As Kaj's drinking spirals out of control, he receives a call from Liv; she's in the hospital, seriously injured in a fight with Lars, and she needs Kaj to look after Jonas. Baenken was the first feature film from writer and director Per Fly.

The Inheritance (2003)
Christoffer (Ulrich Thomsen) used to work with his father in a family-owned steel company but left when the occupation took a toll on his health and is now happily married to Maria (Lisa Werlinder) a promising stage actress. Christoffer owns a successful restaurant and is in the process of opening a new establishment when he receives word that his father has hung himself. When Christoffer returns home he discovers that the family steel business is on the verge of collapse and that a new leader needs to move in immediately, but when he is urged by his mother (Ghita Norby) to take the reins he does so with trepidation as he must subvert the promotion of his brother-in-law Ulrik (Lars Brygmann), and driving a wedge between himself and Maria and his sister Benedikte (Karina Skands). Christoffer is forced to make drastic decisions to save the business and the mantle of corporate power that he must wear erodes his personality and slowly charges his relationship with all those he interacts with as he attempts to save his business and those workers who depend on it for their livelihood.

Drabet (2005)
Fifty-two-year-old Carsten is a popular, much-respected high school teacher. He is married to Nina; they have a son, Tobias. Carsten is having an affair with a former student, Pil, who is an extreme left wing activist. One night Pil is part of a raid that goes wrong and a policeman is killed. Pil and two other activists are arrested. Carsten's affair is revealed and he leaves his stunned wife, Nina, to devote all his resources to supporting Pil. But a policeman is dead, two families are destroyed and guilt begins to grow slowly but surely.
