Synopsis:

Reaching the end of her rope when her hubby announces he's giving the new hairstyling and curling machine to another beautician, Christelle clonks him on the head and absconds with the coveted hardware. Mona offers her work as a chambermaid at the motel, whose regulars include hunky truck driver Lucien.

Christelle, a hairdresser whose husband beats her, runs away after a violent quarrel. She ends up in a motel called the Galaxy, frequented by truck drivers and travelling salesmen. Mona, the owner, takes her under her wing and they both become passionately devoted to a TV soap opera entitled "The Ranch of Love"...
