Synopsis:

Melanie, a student, is young, pretty and charming, but she has one weakness: she just can't make ends meet. In order to keep up her luxurious lifestyle despite her dire straits, she has mortgaged her grandmother's farmhouse - without telling her and with two different banks at the same time. Of course Melanie intends to pay everything back - with the profits from an antiques' deal set up by her flatmate Kolumbus. But the deal is a flop. Now even the two banks discover that they have been conned and give her an ultimatum: Melanie has six weeks to repay the money.

Weibel turns out a turbulent comedy drama about Melanie, a perma-student who has great difficulties keeping her financial problems under control. But Melanie is not alone as she has a diverse group of people willing to help her: an exiled Columbian, a hippie mother, a French ambassador and two extraordinary bankers are at her disposal, but to no avail so far&
