Synopsis:
The story, directed by Peter Keglevic, involves a fictitious deployment of German elite soldiers in eastern Congo, where armed conflict has been rampant for years, largely ignored by the global public. Investigations by a military policewoman, played by Maria Simon, bring a heinous crime in a terrible war to light. The film has a top-rate cast, including Jörg Schüttauf, Götz Schubert, Maximillian Brückner, David Rott and Florence Kasumba alongside Maria Simon.

Alexander Adolph has written an outstanding, solidly researched screenplay about a war crime, which Peter Keglevic has turned into a TV movie that is as exciting as it is unusual. The film focuses on the fears, pressures and hopes faced by German soldiers deployed abroad. To produce a film about such a mission in eastern Congo in South Africa is a great challenge in every respect and not completely without danger.
