Synopsis:

COMPLAINTS CHOIR 'Why do the train always smell like pee?' Everyone complains. Some people believe that if you don't complain, you'll get sick. Some people believe that you'll get sick if you do. 'My toast is always cold?' From Helsinki to Melbourne, from Jerusalem to Birmingham, there are Complaints Choirs all over the world. Why? Because two Finnish artists got the idea of putting our complaints to music. 'My dreams are boring?' This funny, moving documentary follows the trials and tribulations of ordinary citizens, unified by their desire to say what bugs them, as they start new choirs in Singapore and Chicago - with both horrifying and beautiful results.

A worldwide art project by Finnish/German couple Tellervo and Oliver Kalleinen. The artists travel the world collecting complaints, transforming the works into a song sung by the complainers. All goes well until the Singapore government refuses to grant a performance permit, setting off debate in the country and attention from the U.S. State Department.
