Synopsis:
Thirty five and unmarried, Meredith Appleton (Miranda Otto) arrives on the remote island of South Solitary with her lighthouse keeper uncle, George Wadsworth (Barry Otto). She tries to make the best of a bad situation but wild weather and misadventure conspire against her, leaving Meredith marooned on the desolate island with the enigmatic assistant keeper Fleet (Marton Csokas). Brought together by unfortunate circumstances, they discover they have a lot more in common than they originally suspected.

A secretive woman travels with her uncle to a lighthouse island off Tasmania in 1928 and develops a relationship with a withdrawn war veteran.
