Synopsis:
Fit in at your peril. If, as Emerson said, every state is corrupt then The Wrong Crowd, a boxed set featuring four fitting lost cult movies from yesteryear, is in terms of that dictum the mother lode. Heres the score: Careless youths drift from the safety and security of their inner circles only to succumb to the peer pressures of temptation. From here on in its a downhill moral slide leading to drugs, drink, parties, crime, prostitution, murder and finally prison. Watch as innocent lives are destroyed by the seduction of finding acceptance among the hip kids in these classic cautionary tales. The Wrong Crowd features films from 1930 to 1963.

Party Girl (1930)
Jay Rountree, son of a wealthy manufacturer and young, rising businessman, gets caught up in a web involving an escort service or 'party girls.' While eluding the wily Diana Holster, the self-proclaimed Queen of the Party Girls, he manages to get trapped in a web spun by Leeda Cather and her supposed mother and, much to his consternation and to the surprise of his fiancée, Jay soon finds himself an unhappily married man. And, as events would show, Diana isn't all that happy, herself.

Slaves in Bondage (1937)
Mary Lou manages to escape abduction by a prostitution ring. She tells the Chief of Detectives they were planning to take her to the Berrywood road house, a well-known den of iniquity. Jim Murray and beautician Belle Harris are using her beauty shop to recruit floozies for their road house circuit. Dona Lee, who works at the beauty salon, is falling in love with young reporter wanna-be Phillip, but Murray gets jealous and makes life rough for him. Meanwhile Dona begins to figure out the racket, but becomes threatened by Murray's unwanted advances.

The Road to Ruin (1934)
A young girl gets involved with a crowd that smokes marijuana, drinks and has sex. She winds up an alcoholic, pregnant drug addict and is forced to get an abortion.

Delinquent Daughters (1944)
A town is shocked when a high school girl commits suicide. A reporter and a cop team up to investigate and find out exactly what is going on among the youth of the town.

The Girl in Lovers Lane (1960)
Two drifters contend with love and murder in a small town.

Sin You Sinners (1963)
A stripper/fortune teller uses a magical Haitian amulet to keep young, and in so doing forces others to kill for her.

Tales of the spoilt and careless youths who drift from their closest friends into The Wrong Crowd. Of course from here on it's all downhill - drugs parties alcohol crime murder prostitution and finally jail.
