Synopsis:
London's Burning The Movie - The film that launched the top TV series... Blackwall Fire Station's Blue Watch takes to the streets again in the highly-popular drama series of the 80s and early 90s. The hit drama, London's Burning, began in 1988, but two years prior to the series, Jack Rosenthal produced a film called London's Burning The Movie. It was a huge hit with the public. We saw an insight into characters such as Rambo, Tate, Hallam, Bayleaf, Sicknote and Josie. It had everything from plane crashes, tube disasters, house fires and car accidents. Blue Watch B25 Blackwall assemble at the beginning of the nightwatch apart with the usual tensions associated with being on call an any emergency, Station Officer Tate, seems nervous about the new staff replacement due at any moment. The new recruit, Firefighter Josie Ingham joined Blue Watch which caused the rest of the members to react badly with the exception of Bayleaf. Josie Ingram's arrival in to what was previously all male preserve makes for conflicts and high comedy amongst the watch. Not only does she have to prove to them that she can do the job, but problems at home complicate her life even further. The first shout is to a block of garages on fire, however the lads all get stuck in leaving Josie to keep the public back. Outside, in the heart of the city, tensions are rising to the extreme. Blue Watch have a long night ahead of them. Viewers loved the quirky but human characters that put their lives on the line with every episode and this set features some of the most fondly remembered...
