Synopsis:
Cirque du Soleil: Alegría (1999)
Frac, a mime who is suffering from a severe bout of depression, happens to meet a troupe of circus entertainers and immediately falls in love with one of the stars, Giulietta. But while his affection for Giulietta and admiration for the performers gives him a new lease on life, Giulietta's father, the leader of the troupe, opposes the relationship and is determined to keep them apart. Meanwhile, Frac and Giulietta discover a gang of children who are held prisoner by a criminal leader who forces them to do his bidding, and they devise a plan to win the kids their freedom.

Cirque du Soleil: Midnight Sun (2004)
On 11 July 2004, over 200,000 spectators filled the downtown streets of Montreal to take part in a unique celebration, an incredible one-night-only special event! With more than 250 artists, Midnight Sun is a brilliant combination of music and circus - the perfect chemistry of sight and sound. An unforgettable viewing experience filmed live in high-definition!

Cirque du Soleil: Quidam (1999)
Since 1984, Cirque du Soleil has reinvented and revolutionized the circus arts with an astonishing theatrical blend of circus arts and street performance. Cirque du Soleil has been pleasing the public with a novel show concept that is as original as it is non-traditional, wrapped up in spectacular costumes and fairyland sets and staged to spellbinding music and magical lighting. There are no animals in a Cirque du Soleil production - only sheer human energy is put to work!

Cirque du Soleil: Alegría (1999)
The acclaimed Canadian performance troupe Cirque de Soleil, which combines acrobatics, magic, music, and theater into spectacular stage productions, brings one of their most popular shows to the screen in Alegria. Frac (Rene Bazinet), a mime who is suffering from a severe bout of depression, happens to meet a troupe of circus entertainers and immediately falls in love with one of the stars, Giulietta (Julie Cox). But while his affection for Giulietta and admiration for the performers gives him a new lease on life, Giulietta's father (Frank Langella), the leader of the troupe, opposes the relationship and is determined to keep them apart. Meanwhile, Frac and Giulietta discover a gang of children who are held prisoner by a criminal leader (Heathcote Williams) who forces them to do his bidding, and they devise a plan to win the kids their freedom. While Alegria offers plenty of the theatrical dazzle that has made Cirque de Soleil famous, it has a stronger narrative structure than the original stage production and blends the talents of several noted film actors with the stars of the Cirque company.

Cirque du Soleil: Midnight Sun (2004)
Join Cirque du Soleil for their spectacular 20th anniversary celebration. Montreal's St. Catherine Street sets the stage for an enchanted evening of entertainment as an audience of 200,000 attend the street party festivities and thrill at Cirque du Soleil's unprecedented tour de force "Midnight Sun," a three-stage circus extravaganza with a cast of 250. The show features special appearances by Youssou N'Dour, Jorane and Daniela Mercury.

Cirque du Soleil: Quidam (1999)
Cirque du Soleil is considered a stunning concept in modern performance art and circus craft. There are no dancing bears here, though there are a few clowns. The performers are all human and each exhibits a superhuman ability at acrobatic feats and the ability to spread awe or mirth over the spectators. Quidam is the featured Cirque du Soleil extravaganza in this video. The show includes a huge, rotating stage and arching trapeze platforms to bring the performers right over the heads in the audience.
