Synopsis:
Gerry Anderson (Space: 1999, UFO), creator of the legendary supermarionation series, The Thunderbirds, lent his prolific genius to a host of spy and sci-fi puppetry shows in the 1960s that brilliantly played out heroic adventure stories within futuristic, fantastical universes. Never before presented in one DVD collection, here are three of Andersons essential supermarionation creations!

Fireball XL5 The action adventure, sci-fi puppetry series that paved the way for Anderson's supermarionation masterpiece, The Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5 saw the legendary producer turn his attention to space for the first time. Includes all 39 digitally restored episodes.

Super Car - The Complete Series Andersons first fully developed Supermarionation series, Supercar established his winning formula of futuristic vehicles, high adventure, and advanced puppetry techniques.

Secret Service - The Complete Series 1969's The Secret Service was Anderson's final supermarionation series before he turned exclusively to the live-action format. The story of an unlikely parish priest recruited into the British Secret Service, it was Anderson's personal favourite series.

Fireball XL5 (1962)
Fireball XL5 was part of the fleet of interplanetary rockets protecting Sector 25 of the Solar System from alien invasion under the supervision of the World Space Patrol. In command of XL5 was Steve Zodiac, and his crew consisted of Venus, a doctor, Professor Matic, the science officer, and Robert the Robot, the rocket's mechanical co-pilot.

Supercar (1961)
Gerry Anderson's first science fiction Supermarionation series. Super Car was a prototype vehicle that could travel in the air, on land or beneath the sea. Its test pilot was Mike Mercury, who traveled the world in search of adventure. Super Car was designed by Professor Popkiss and Dr. Beaker, who continued to modify it for specific missions. Often traveling with Mike was 10-year-old orphan Jimmy Gibson.

The Secret Service (1969)
Code of the Secret Service was the second of Warner Bros. ''Brass Bancroft'' series, starring Ronald Reagan as troubleshooting federal operative Bancroft. This time, Brass and his wisecracking partner Gabby (Eddie Foy Jr., brother of producer Bryan Foy) take on a particularly vicious gang of counterfeiters. Our heroes end up in Mexico, where they undergo a series of wild and wooly adventures the like of which were seldom seen outside of the Republic serials. According to Reagan, he was obliged to do his own stunts in the film because the budget couldn't afford a double; it certainly looks that way. Entertaining in its own dizzy fashion. Code of the Secret Service is proof positive that Reagan could carry a film with the right material.

Gerry Anderson, creator of the legendary supermarionation series, The Thunderbirds, lent his prolific genius to a host of spy and sci-fi puppetry shows in the 1960's that brillinatly played out heroic adventure stories within futuristic, fantastical universes.
