Synopsis:
Torrente: The Stupid Arm Of The Law (1998)
Parodic comedy about an irredeemably sexist, racist, braggart, ex-cop slob and his 'investigations', made with a gullible neighbour, into the behind-the-scenes criminal operations of a Chinese restaurant is dismally broad, obvious, crude and visually ugly.
Torrente 2: Mission in Marbella (2001)
Scumbag ex-cop Torrente is back in action. After losing all his money gambling, Torrente sets up shop as a private investigator in the seaside resort of Marbella. With the help of his drug-addicted partner Cuco, Torrente uncovers criminal Spinelli's terrorist scheme to fire 2 missiles at Marbella. Now Torrente must hurry to stop Spinelli before it's too late.
Torrente 3: The Protector (2005)
This third installment of the adventures of overweight, sexist, fascist cop and Hispanic cultural icon Jose Luis Torrente (Segura). Our hero is hired as the bodyguard to Euro MP and ecologist Giannina (Italian thesp Yvonne Scio) after Montellini (Fabio Testi), the head of a non-ecological oil company, has employed Salas (Enrique Villen) to find the bodyguard.
Torrente 4: Lethal Crisis (2011)
After various attempts to lead a dignified life, bumbling, racist, homophobic ex-cop Jose Luis Torrente accepts a job offered by an old friend that leads him confront one of the most controversial moments of his career.

Torrente: The Stupid Arm Of The Law (1998)
Spanish TV personality Santiago Segura (Day of the Beast), director of award-winning short films, made his feature directorial debut with this comedy thriller. Crude ex-cop Torrente (Segura) befriends nerdy Rafi (Javier Camara) so he can get to Rafi's nympho cousin Amparito (Neus Asensi). Although Torrente's father (Tony Leblanc) can walk, Torrente has him out begging daily from a wheelchair. When his father almost dies after eating, Torrente deduces that heroin is being trafficked through a Chinese restaurant. Gathering Rafi's friends for a drug bust, Torrente senses an opportunity to get back on the glory road. Filmed in a poor neighborhood of Madrid.
Torrente 2: Mission in Marbella (2001)
Torrente, 'El Brazo Tonto De La Ley', has managed to squander his savings while enjoying life in the resort town of Marbella, so he goes back to work, finding employment as a private detective. Through a series of misunderstandings, Torrente ends up crossing paths with Spinelli, a corrupt international arms dealer, and when Spinelli threatens to blow up Torrente unless he receives a ransom of two billion pesetas, the bumbling skirt-chaser becomes the only man who can prevent the destruction.
Torrente 3: The Protector (2005)
Giannina Ricci, a popular euro MP, comes on a visit to Spain. Her aim is to shut the factories belonging to the multinational company Petronosa as it is putting the environment in jeopardy. Therefore she is going to write a report disclosing the illegalities and irregularities in this company. The top executive of the company bribes two heads of the security group in charge of protecting Miss Ricci so that they can help in the planned attack against the Euro MP. So what on earth were they thinking of when they put José Luis Torrente, probably the most abnormal person in the world, in charge of protecting the Euro MP during her stay in Spain? And if that wasn't enough they let him choose and train the people who are to make up the elite group to help him protect her. A gang of people even more aberrant than Torrente himself if that is possible. Tragedy is about to be served up..
Torrente 4: Lethal Crisis (2011)
Our hero Torrente is hit by the GFC. Living in squalid conditions is forced to accept a 'murder job'.Torrente recruits some staff to help him with this job and he finds out he is being used as a scapegoat and before he can notice he is imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. In prison his obsession is to escape in order to clear his name. Therefore he invents a plan inspired on one of his favorite movies 'Escape to Victory' (Aka Victory) and organizes a football match between the Prison Security Staff and the prisoners. During the game the idea is to escape with his colleagues through a tunnel. The tunnel collapses and seems to be impossible to escape, but leaving with a choir from an interprovincial tournament will be the perfect vehicle to get Torrente out of prison. Once outside he starts his revenge mission searching for the man who sent him to prison, businessman Ernesto Rocamora.
