Synopsis:
The history of the experimental cinema in our country has few names and filmografías brief. José Val of Omar initiates this list. His case has been the one of an admiration grown slow and constantly. It does not exist another figure in our history like the one of Val of Omar, vanguardista of imaginary archaic, inventor of a creativity that rayaba in the eccentric and able mystic poet of fascinar and baffle to the authorities franquistas so much as to the foreign critic.

José Val del Omar the film Aguaespejo Granadino/Granada´s watermirror (1953-1955) the first of its Elemental triptych of Spain, showing it at the festivals in Berlin and Brussels. Subsequently creates Fuego en Castilla/Fire in Castile (1956-1959) where he introduces his techniques of TactilVisión and Pulsed Light touch, being honored at festivals in Cannes, Bilbao 1961 and Melbourne 1962. In 1961 begins the last of his trilogy: Acarino Galaico(del barro)/ Acarino Galaico (from mud), which left unfinished.
