Synopsis:

In the Autumn of her life widowed Pilar (Carmen Maura Volver) finds love with Fernand (Andr Dussollier Micmacs) and decides to introduce him to her family including her movie star daughter Nuria (Emmanuelle Seigner The Diving Bell & the Butterfly). The planned dinner however turns into a fiasco when her daughters take a sudden dislike to her new beau and what ought to have been a happy and momentous occasion quickly turns into a family crisis. Featuring superb performances from its ensemble cast Chicas is a moving and uplifting drama about relationships love and a celebration of femininity.

Pilar is a Spanish widow who has brought up her three children in France. She is in love with Fernand, the owner of the building in which she lives. To introduce Fernand to her family, Pilar arranges a dinner, but this turns into a fiasco when her daughters take a sudden dislike to her new beau...
