Synopsis:
A heffalump is heard trumpeting in the hundred acre woods. Winnie the pooh, tigger, and piglet are scared and rush to Rabbit's house for advice. Roo joins them and they all agree that heffalumps are nearby after finding a huge footprint. They decide to set out on an expodition to catch the heffalump. Roo is not allowed to come along because he is too little. The expedition is fruitless and the gang (including eyore) return to their own part of the hundred acre wood. Meanwhile Roo sets out on his own to catch the heffalump and finds Lumpy, a young heffalump. Roo captures Lumpy with a rope and brings him to his own neighborhood. Although Roo starts out suspicious of Lumpy they eventually become friends.Lumpy becomes upset when he can't find his mother and Roo takes him to see his own mother, Kanga. Rabbit, Tigger and the others take Lumpy for an enemy and tie him up. This scare lumpy and he runs away only to be captured in a booby trap. He then trumpets for his mother who comes to his rescue. Meanwhile Roo falls in a dangerous pit full of fallen trees. Lumpy's mother rescues Roo and this act of kindness endears the heffalumps to the other dwellers of the hundred acre wood.

In A. A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh stories, Piglet once thought he had seen a heffalump, but it was really just Pooh with a honey jar stuck on his head. In this adorable animated film, he and the other animals finally encounter the real thing. And it (Lumpy the baby heffalump) is too cute for words, largely thanks to the endearing voice and infectious laugh of 8-year-old Kyle Stanger. The plot involves Roo capturing Lumpy (who thinks a visit to the Roo's part of Hundred Acre Wood sounds like a fine game) and Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and company learning that Heffalumps aren't scary at all. There is a dash of child-pleasing animated slapstick, a few nice Carly Simon songs and a crucial lesson about the dangers of misjudging people just because they are different from you

Winnie the Pooh and his friends are upset to find evidence of a 'heffalump', a large beast, in the Hundred Acre wood, and set off to track it down. Meanwhile, Roo ventures off on his own in the hunt and encounters a young heffalump called Lumpy. He discovers that Lumpy is as afraid of the strange creatures in the Hundred Acre wood as they are of heffalumps. Roo and Lumpy become friends and spend the day playing. However, Lumpy then cannot find his mother and he and Roo go in search of her.
