Great Railway Journeys (1994)
Affable adventurer Michael Palin embarks on two rail journeys, in 1980 and in 1994, as part of the BBC series ""Great Railway Journeys."" First, the ex-Monty Python funnyman sets off from Euston station in London on the Flying Scotsman, making stops in York and Edinburgh. Then, Palin journeys across the magnificent Irish countryside to the western country of Kerry, where his great-grandmother left for America in the 19th century.

Around the World in 80 Days (1989)
The first journey - and what an initiation. Dhows, diarrhoea, the Corinth Canal, hungry parrots and a bomb scare as a welcome home. And back in time to challenge Phileas Fogg. Just.

Pole to Pole (1992)
Phileas Fogg behind, Roald Amundsen ahead. And a mere 16 countries and both hemispheres to cover. Communism collapsed, civil wars sparked and Michael faced one of his most gruelling but rewarding journeys.

Full Circle with Michael Palin (1997)
Blizzards, Bogota's Bullet Street and Alaskan abandonment pushed Michael and the crew to the limit as they trekked around the Pacific - and helped forge an astonishing series.

Hemingway Adventure (1999)
One hundred years after the birth of Ernest Hemingway, Michael Palin sets out to discover the man behind the legend: a hard-drinking, controversial figure who wrote like a dream.

Sahara with Michael Palin (2002)
The Sahara. The size of the United States with a population the size of Norfolk. And with extreme temperatures and camel poisoning thrown in, Michael always had his work cut out.

Himalaya with Michael Palin (2004)
In Himalaya, Michael visits the Earth's greatest mountain range - 1800 miles from the borders of Afghanistan to southwest China. He'd covered none of this ground before, let alone milked a dri, washed an elephant or swum at 14,000 feet...

New Europe (2007)
Michael's travels in New Europe take him to twenty countries and a world that has changed beyond belief since the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Iron Curtain.
It's a journey that sees hope and unity in the place of fear and war…

Around the World in 20 Years (2008)
Around the World in 20 Years is a BBC television travel documentary first broadcast in December 2008, presented by Michael Palin. It follows him as he retraces the Dubai - Mumbai leg of his journey Around the World in 80 Days. Also featured is his reunion with the Captain and Crew of the al-Sharma dhow, in which he had undertaken the journey 20 years ago.

Featuring all the episodes from:
Great Railway Journeys, Around the World in 80 Days, Around the World in 20 years, Pole to Pole, Full Circle, Hemmingway Adventure, Sahara, Himalaya and New Europe
