Synopsis:

The second in the series of The Borrowers based on the books by Mary Norton. The Borrowers are a family of tiny people who live under the stairs in an old house populated by the larger version of the human being. One day a tiny member of the family befriends a member of the 'bigger' household...

The Borrowers are small, 15cm high humans who live in the English hinterland. They live out their lives in mouse-hole sized nooks in human homes, and survive by 'borrowing' all they need from the house and its inhabitants. This series follows young girl Arriety, and her parents Pod and Homily, as they are displaced from their home and try to find a new home, with the help of a human boy, George.

Based on the famous children's novels by Mary Norton, this BBC production stars the diminutive Ian Holm as the even-more-diminutive patriarch of The Borrowers, a family of thumb-sized creatures looking for a new place to live. Directed by John Henderson.
