Synopsis:

This mesmerising debut from writer/director Alicia Duffy tells the story of Dara, a young Irish boy who is moved to rural France with his brother Eoin following the death of their mother. There, the boys befriend a local English family and the vulnerable Dara falls under the spell of their young daughter Bella. But when Bella begins to pull away, Dara's feelings for her start to get out of hand... All Good Children hypnotically plays out in the gap between childhood and adulthood, between childish fantasy and adult reality.

Centers on Dara and Eoin, two young Irish children ages 11 and 12 who have to go and live at their aunt's house in France following their mother's suicide. Eoin soon tries to run away. Terrified at the idea of being abandoned, Dara seeks comfort from young English neighbor Bella. Between them a friendship forms, turning into a true obsession for Dara. Realizing his feelings are not reciprocated, the boy retreats to the forest. Reality and dream merge and he soon sinks into madness.
