Synopsis:

Fifteen-year-old Sabine has a talent for mathematics. She believes every event in her life is similar to a maths problem and so must have the potential for a logical solution. When Sabine begins to have an affair with a forty-year-old former dissident from Prague, and sees him with another woman, her certainty and self-assurance is damaged.

Sabine, an adolescent girl with a gift for mathematics becomes involved with Jiri, a 40-something man-of-the-theatre from Prague. The story of their relationship and the gradual transformation of Sabine's life as a result of it.
