Synopsis:
Two friends, Ralph and Scott live in a small minded town at the onset of wide public dissatisfaction with the Vietnam war. While Scott's brother enlists, he and Ralph are outspoken in their opposition to the war. Scott's attitude alienates him from his father and he and Ralph leave town to enjoy their 'freedom'. Various events lead them back to town where they learn of the death of the brother. This event proves to be the catalyst needed to bridge the gap between father and son and enlightens them both to the true cost of war.

Scott and Ralph (Sutherland and Downey), two small-town class-of- 67 high school graduates, venture off to college to sow some wild oats and stay one step ahead of the draft board. But when Ralph is expelled from school, he suddenly becomes a prime candidate for serving in his country's armed forces. And when the lifelong friends take drastic and illegal measures to ensure Ralph's freedom, they trigger a chain of events that will forever change theirfriendship, their lives and how a town thinks of war.

Robert Downey Jr. (Ally McBeal) and Kiefer Sutherland (A Few Good Men) star in this heart rendering drama that traces the lives of two young men coming of age during one of the most volatile periods in America's history.
