Synopsis:

Gay men Mikhail and Jamel and transsexual Stephanie are three lost souls who share an unbreakable bond, one that is made stronger by the risqué lives they lead in the seedy side streets and train stations of Paris where they use their bodies to turn tricks. Whilst battling with their own inner demons they also find solace in each other's arms. When Stephanie receives a phone call to say her mother is unwell, the three lovers go to Stephanie's village deep in rural France. Once there, she begins to unravel some of the childhood events that have made her the person she is today. From the director of Presque Rien, the subtle, highly stylized and thoroughly emotive Wild Side has drawn comparisons to Agnes Godard's Beau Travail and Jacques Nolot's Before I Forget.

In Paris, the thirty-two years old travesty Stéphanie a.k.a. Pierre is a streetwalker that lives with the Egyptian gay hustler Djamel and the Russian gay Mikhail that works in a restaurant. When the hospital where her mother Liliane is terminal calls her, she travels with her two lovers to the countryside to look after her dying mother. While at home, she recalls her childhood and how she met Djamel and Mikhail.
